Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain manufacturing automation solutions in Seberang Perai, Penang. You will lead projects from concept to production handover and optimize PLC/HMI and robotics systems.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or related engineering, 3+ years in industrial automation, knowledge of ISO 9001/ ISO 13485, and strong problem-solving skills. Salary up to RM7,000 per month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or related engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in industrial automation or machine controls.
• Experience in plastic injection molding or related manufacturing env preferred.
• Familiar with ISO 9001/ ISO 14001/ ISO 13485 and IATF 16949.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions.
• Lead automation projects from concept to production handover.
• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs and HMI interfaces.
• Program and optimize robots, gantry systems, and vision systems.
• Improve OEE, cycle time, yield, and productivity via automation.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot automation-related equipment and production issues.
• Support automation for pick-and-place, assembly, inspection, packaging, and dispensing automation.

Candidate will be responsible for machine automation, PLC programming, robotics integration, vision inspection systems, process improvement, equipment troubleshooting, and implementation of Industry 4.0 initiatives.

• Design, develop, and implement manufacturing automation solutions.
• Lead automation projects from concept, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and production handover.
• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs and HMI interfaces.
• Program and optimize industrial robots and gantry systems.
• Maintain machine vision inspection systems.
• Support automation for pick-and-place, assembly, inspection, packaging, anddispensing applications.
• Integrate molding machines, dispensing systems, converting machines,conveyors, vision systems, barcode readers, leak testers, and peripheralequipment.
• Improve OEE, cycle time, yield, and productivity through automation andcontinuous improvement projects.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen activities.
• Troubleshoot automation-related equipment failures and production issues.

Experience / Skill Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial automation, machine controls, ormanufacturing engineering.
• Experience in plastic injection molding, silicone dispensing, die-cut converting,assembly automation, or related manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Pneumatic and electrical control systems.
• AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent electrical design software.
• Self-motivated and self-discipline.
• Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485 and IATF 16949.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to RM7,000.00 per month
