Job summary

SGET Pte Ltd in Kulai, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced Electrical Automation professional to join our manufacturing automation team. The role centers on commissioning, testing, parameter setting, and ensuring reliable operation of automated equipment on the production line, in close collaboration with the engineering group.

You will work with VFD/PLC configurations, servo motors, and various HMI platforms, document electrical diagrams, and support after-sales technical issues.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Electrical Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical commissioning of automation equipment.
• Able to independently perform electrical commissioning and troubleshooting of automated equipment.
• Experience with Delta, ABB, and Inovance servo motors is preferred.
• Experience commissioning Yamaha, Yaskawa, Inovance, or Estun robots is preferred.
• Experience with automotive motor assembly lines and customized/non-standard automation equipment is highly preferred.
• Proficient in VFD, PLC configuration, servo commissioning, and serial-port debugging software.
• Familiar with Siemens S7-1200 PLC and HMI, Weintek HMI, and Pro-face HMI.
• Good knowledge of electrical principles, electrical components, PLC, HMI, and servo control systems.
• Team management experience is an advantage.
• Willing to travel and work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment program verification, commissioning, and parameter setting according to technical requirements
• Handle electrical commissioning before equipment delivery and after installation at the factory, including after-sales technical support
• Record commissioning issues and parameter settings, and maintain electrical drawings and technical documentation
• Support Electrical Engineers in R&D projects, equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, and issue follow-up
• Prepare initial equipment process flows, technical requirements, and key operating parameters
• Troubleshoot electrical and automation equipment issues to ensure stable operation
• Perform other related duties assigned by management
