Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel Penang is seeking an Assistant Sales Manager to drive revenue growth across market segments and manage key accounts. You will work with the Director of Sales and Revenue & Marketing, coordinating client events and ensuring exceptional guest experiences throughout the sales process.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, leadership, and excellent communication. You will conduct sales calls, respond to RFPs promptly, and collaborate with hotel departments for seamless event

Qualifications

• Degree in hotel management or business administration.
• Minimum 3 years’ hospitality industry experience.
• Familiar with hotel operations and distribution channels.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to meet sales targets.
• Manage corporate, government, travel trade, MICE, and key segments.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients through regular calls and events.
• Prepare responses to RFPs, tenders, and proposals within 24 hours when possible.
• Coordinate events, group bookings, and function details across departments.
• Monitor market trends and collaborate with Revenue Management on pricing.
