Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel Penang is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to oversee daily operations and guide long-term strategy for the Maintenance & Engineering teams. You will supervise the Technical Executive, Assistant AV Manager, M&E Admin Officer/Assistant, M&E Crew Leader and Crew, ensuring high standards and safe, efficient hotel operations.

You will manage rosters, conduct trainings, monitor energy use, and ensure adherence to all SOPs, policies, and ESG requirements while maintaining

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in engineering with Chargeman AO qualification.
At least 3 years of experience leading or supervising a team in hotel industry.
Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Kitchen Equipment and other trades.
Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations of Maintenance & Engineering teams.
Manage rosters to ensure shift coverage for M&E staff and Crew Leaders.
Ensure adherence to Policy & Procedures, SOPs and Work Instructions.
Conduct training, development and coaching of M&E staff to deliver consistent service.
Handle emergencies and maintain safe and efficient hotel operations.
Inspect guest rooms to ensure Hard Rock International standards are applied.
Maintain inventory and ensure efficient stock controls.
