Crowne Plaza Penang Straits City is seeking a passionate Sales Manager to join our Commercial team. You will develop new business, strengthen key client relationships and drive revenue across hotel market segments, working with the Director of Sales & Marketing and other departments to maximize opportunities and grow market presence.

This role calls for hands-on account management, regular sales calls, proposals, and negotiations, plus collaboration with Revenue, Reservations, Events, F&B and

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of hotel sales experience, preferably in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
• Strong knowledge of the Penang/Northern Region corporate and business market.
• Proven ability to develop new business and maintain strong client relationships.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; hotel sales systems experience would be an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, business partners, travel agents and other key clients.
• Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, presentations, site inspections and hotel familiarisation visits.
• Manage assigned accounts and develop strategies to increase revenue and market share.
• Negotiate rates and commercial terms within established hotel guidelines.
• Follow up on enquiries, proposals and potential business opportunities.
• Monitor competitor activities, market trends and business developments within Penang and the Northern Region.
• Participate in networking events, trade shows and sales activities to strengthen the hotel's market presence.
• Work closely with Revenue, Reservations, Events, F&B and Front Office teams to maximise revenue opportunities.
• Maintain accurate sales activities, account information, forecasts and reports.
• Support the Director of Sales & Marketing in implementing the hotel's overall sales strategy and achieving revenue targets.
