Job summary

Wan Husin & Associates Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to lead field activities for civil and infrastructure projects in Malaysia. You will supervise mechanical works, review drawings, monitor installations, and ensure compliance with drawings, specs, standards, and safety requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, is BEM-registered, and has at least 10 years of site supervision experience; flood mitigation or pumping

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate Mechanical works at the construction site.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable standards.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements.
• Monitor installation of pumping systems, water control gates, and associated Mechanical equipment.
• Monitor work progress, quality, workmanship, and compliance with site safety requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and relevant stakeholders to resolve technical and site issues.
• Attend site meetings and prepare progress reports.
• Oversee inspections, testing and commissioning, defect rectification, and handover activities.

Job description

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).

Minimum ten (10) years of experience in site supervision.

Experience in flood mitigation, pumping stations, water control gates, or related infrastructure projects is an advantage.

Good technical knowledge of Mechanical systems and ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Melayu.

Responsible, firm, and able to work independently on site.
