Job summary

GDB Holdings Bhd in Shah Alam seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to oversee tender take-offs, procurement, and final accounts within project teams. The role requires strong contract knowledge, Bahasa Malaysia and English proficiency, and a proactive approach to cost control and reporting.

You will contribute to efficient procurement, accurate progress claims, and timely settlements on diverse developments in Malaysia.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
Minimum of 6–10 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
Familiar with construction contracts, standard forms of contract and basic contract law concepts.
Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

Take-off quantities for tendering purposes and final account purposes.
Carry out procurement activities including tender calls and evaluations.
Prepare sub-contract awards, contracts, and manage the entire subcontract award process.
Prepare and submit main contractor progress claims and verify sub-contractor payments.
Monitor costs and evaluate variation orders to stay within the approved budget.
Prepare final accounts and settlements with consultants.
Undertake any other duties as instructed by superior.
