Job summary

JL Concepts Haus Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support quantity surveying activities across diverse construction projects in Malaysia. You will assist with BOQ preparation, cost estimates, and tender documents, and conduct site measurements and quantity take-offs.

You will review contract variations, compile project data for meetings, and liaise with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and contractors to coordinate cost-related matters.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Knowledge of cost control, cost management and cost reporting.
• Experience or knowledge in BOQ preparation and cost planning.
• Good understanding of quantity surveying principles.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and tender documents
• Conducting site measurements and quantity take-offs
• Reviewing and analysing contract variations and claims
• Compiling and presenting project data for internal and client meetings
• Liaising with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and contractors, to ensure cost-related matters are properly coordinated
• Maintaining accurate project records and documentation
• Providing technical support to the project team on quantity surveying and cost-related matters
