Job summary

Lima Ribu Jutamas Holding Sdn Bhd in Sabah invites applications for a Quantity Surveyor role to support construction project cost control in Tawau. The successful candidate will prepare take-offs, BQ, and cost estimates, and assist with budgets, reviews, tendering, and cost management across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include procurement liaison, cost evaluation, variation orders, and progress payments, with travel to site as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of quantity take-off, measurement, costing and construction practices.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications may be considered.
• Experience in property/construction projects is an advantage.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and QS-related software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BQ) and cost estimates for construction projects.
• Assist in preparing project budgets and cost plans.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documents to determine project requirements.
• Prepare and evaluate tender documents and quotations.
• Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist with tender evaluation and provide cost recommendations to management.
• Monitor project costs, variations and overall expenditure.
• Prepare and evaluate variation orders, progress claims and payment certificates.
• Verify work progress and quantities completed at site.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and site personnel.
