Job summary

ADVANCED DEFENCE SYSTEMS SDN. BHD. seeks an Assistant, Quantity Surveyor to support cost control, budgeting, contract admin and site progress.

You will coordinate with contractors, consultants and internal teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires a degree or diploma in QS/CM/CE with at least 2 years in quantity surveying or cost management, strong analytical and negotiation abilities, and the capacity to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
• Familiarity with contract administration, and cost control practices.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Experience in infrastructure, civil, or building construction projects will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring overall project costs and material cost savings.
• Map out project timelines and monitor construction progress with teams to stay on track.
• Monitor cost estimates, bills of quantities, and contract documents with the contractor/subcontractor and consultants.
• Maintain accurate records of all project-related costs and financial transactions.
• Provide expert advice on procurement, logistics, risk management and cost-saving measures.
• Assist in ensuring project requirements align with the work being carried out.
