Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, and tender documents for construction projects. You will source quotations, manage progress claims, variation orders, final accounts, and monitor project costs, budgets, and overall commercial performance.

You will read drawings and specifications, communicating with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accuracy and value on every project.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant construction/QS experience.
• Strong costing, measurement, tendering, and contract administration knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Able to read drawings and specifications; good communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates and tender documents.
• Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and manage progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and overall commercial performance.
• Verify site measurements and subcontractor claims.
• Assist with contract administration and commercial negotiations.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
