Job summary

MBR MARKETING SDN. BHD. is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in Skudai, Johor.

You will support the Quantity Surveyor in cost estimation, tender documents, and cost control across a range of construction projects. The role involves attending site meetings, tracking variations, and assisting in procurement to ensure on-time project delivery. Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within the construction industry (Fresh graduates encouraged).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in cost estimation, quantity take-off, and contract administration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Familiarity with construction industry software and tools.
• Knowledge of construction regulations, standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the QS in preparing cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents.
• Monitor and control construction costs, track variations and changes.
• Prepare progress reports and cost control documents.

About the role

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at MBR MARKETING SDN. BHD.', you will be responsible for supporting the Quantity Surveyor in overseeing construction projects. This full-time role is based in Skudai, Johor and will involve working closely with the project team to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Quantity Surveyor in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents

Monitoring and controlling construction costs, including tracking variations and changes

Preparing progress reports and cost control documents

Providing support in the tendering and procurement process

Attending site meetings and inspections to monitor progress and address any issues

Assisting in the resolution of contractual and commercial disputes

Collaborating with the project team to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of construction projects

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field

Minimum 1 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in cost estimation, quantity take-off, and contract administration

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders
