Job summary

MBR MARKETING SDN. BHD. is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in Skudai, Johor.

You will support the Quantity Surveyor in cost estimation, tender documents, and cost control across a range of construction projects. The role involves attending site meetings, tracking variations, and assisting in procurement to ensure on-time project delivery. The ideal candidate has a tertiary qualification in QS or related field and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with strong analytical,

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within the construction industry (Fresh graduates encouraged).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in cost estimation, quantity take-off, and contract administration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Familiarity with construction industry software and tools.
• Knowledge of construction regulations, standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the QS in preparing cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents.
• Monitor and control construction costs, track variations and changes.
• Prepare progress reports and cost control documents.
• Support in tendering and procurement processes.
• Attend site meetings and inspections to monitor progress.
• Assist in resolving contractual and commercial disputes.
• Collaborate with the project team for timely delivery of projects.
