Job summary

See Song & Sons Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced Assistant Project Manager to lead civil/marine/dredging projects, including dredging, port construction, breakwaters, reclamation, and coastal structures. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership, and a track record of delivering high-value projects safely, on time, and within budget.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Marine Engineering, 2+ years of relevant experience, and be proficient with Primavera P6 or MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in marine/civil/dredging construction projects.
• Mandarin-speaking candidate preferred, as Mandarin proficiency is required to meet the job requirements.
• Proven track record managing port, jetty, dredging, reclamation, or offshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of relevant construction techniques, equipment, and methodologies.
• Familiarity with international standards (e.g., FIDIC, ISO, HSE).
• Proficient in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.).
• PMP certification (preferred but not mandatory).
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of civil/marine/dredging projects from pre-construction through completion.
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans.
• Monitor on-site progress, quality control, and reporting to stakeholders.
• Manage client relations and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure performance, morale, and accountability.
