We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in coordinating and monitoring project activities. The ideal candidate should be organized, responsible, willing to learn, and able to coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Support
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities.
- Follow up on project schedules, work progress, materials, and deadlines.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Assist with site visits and project inspections when required.
- Prepare and maintain project documents, reports, schedules, and records.
- Attend project meetings and assist with meeting minutes and follow-up actions.
- Assist in resolving project issues and ensuring smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress and report updates to the Project Manager.
- Ensure project activities are carried out according to project requirements and company procedures.
- Perform other project-related duties as assigned by management.
Administrative Support
- Assist with project documentation, filing, and data entry.
- Prepare quotations, purchase requests, reports, and other project-related documents.
- Maintain proper records of project correspondence and documents.
- Handle basic emails and communication related to project matters.
- Assist other departments with project-related administrative tasks when required.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in project coordination, project management, construction, engineering, or a related field.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Able to coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Responsible, proactive, willing to learn, and able to work independently.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Willing to travel to project sites when required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in civil engineering, marine construction, dredging, or related industries.
- Basic knowledge of project planning and scheduling.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors and suppliers.
- Good problem-solving and follow-up skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to keep track of project matters.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
