Job summary

Jstar Motion Sdn. Bhd in Kulai, Johor is seeking an Assistant Production Manager/Manager to plan, supervise daily production, allocate resources, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.

You will lead production staff, train teams, and ensure safety and quality standards across manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or equivalent, with 3–5 years in manufacturing, strong leadership, communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced

Job description

We are a multi-national company involved developing, manufacturing and marketing for intelligent and ergonomic products, located in I-park Industrial area, Kulai, Johor. We are looking to hire for Assistant Production Manager/Manager

You will play an important role in:

Production Management:

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily production operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Allocate resources (labor, materials, equipment) effectively to optimize productivity.
• Monitor production KPIs such as output, efficiency, waste, and downtime.
• Lead, train, and motivate production staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching or disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Quality Control:

• Ensure finished products meet company and customer specifications.
• Work with the Quality Assurance team to resolve defects and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain quality records and documentation.

Health & Safety Compliance:

• Enforce safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE and equipment.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and audits.
• Report and investigate accidents or unsafe conditions.

Equipment & Maintenance:

• Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment and machinery.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

Process Improvement:

• Analyze production processes and recommend improvements to reduce waste, improve quality, and lower costs.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles where applicable.

Inventory & Materials Management:

• Ensure proper inventory of production materials and supplies.
• Collaborate with Procurement to avoid material shortages or overstocking.

• Possess at least Diploma / Advanced / Higher / Graduate or equivalent in any field
• At least 3 - 5 years of working experience in Manufacturing / Production Operations or equivalent
• Good leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage production priorities.
