Job summary

Golden Scoop Sdn Bhd is seeking an operations manager to lead store operations in Penang, driving customer service excellence and team capability while maintaining financial and safety standards. The role emphasizes staff development, cost control, and adherence to company SOPs across shifts.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years in F&B operations, with relevant culinary or hospitality qualifications and a strong customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain store staffing levels to develop talent and meet operational requirements.
• Monitor cost of goods, labor cost and control product damages per Finance guidelines.
• Enforce cash handling, safety, and security policies for all shifts.
• Check bank-in reports and ensure daily takings are banked on time.
• Conduct reviews of operations risks for food safety, SOPs, quality, and health risks.

Job description

This is an operations management role in the food and beverage industry, responsible for leading store operations, developing team capability, and ensuring customer service excellence while maintaining operational and financial standards.

Key responsibilities

Set goals for the work group, develop organizational capability, and model how to work together

Display a customer-first attitude by training and holding partners accountable for delivering legendary customer service

Drive the implementation of company programs by developing action plans and directly motivating and instructing the store team to implement them to meet operational and organizational objectives

Manage with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of the organization

Monitor and manage store staffing levels to ensure partner development and talent acquisition to achieve and maintain store operational requirements

Maintain good and profitable Cost of Goods, labor cost and control product damages according to guidelines by Finance department

Execute store operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security to ensure the safety of all team members during each shift

Follow all cash management and cash register policies and ensure proper cash management practices are followed by shift team

Check bank-in reports of outlets to ensure daily sales takings are banked in on time

Conduct ROR (Review of Operations Risks) on food safety, SOPs, product quality and health risks to ensure compliance to required standards

About you

2 years of experience in operations management in F&B, the food service industry, or retail

Qualification with F&B disciplinary, culinary, food safety, hospitality, communication business administration, or its equivalent
