Job summary

Jaya Grocer is seeking a Store Operations Assistant to help oversee daily store functions in Malaysia. You will assist in maintaining readiness of all departments, ensuring adherence to SOPs, and supporting administration tasks and reports.

You will work closely with the Store Manager and HQ departments to ensure smooth operations, stock takes, and customer service excellence across over 50 stores in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum STPM in any field.
• Basic communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer satisfaction oriented.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Languages: Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring all department and store conditions to ensure readiness for business at all times.
• Follow company rules, regulations and SOPs.
• Assist superior with government-related matters when needed.
• Support daily administration tasks: attendance, MC claims, leave, schedules, and related processes.
• Prepare and share reports (attendance, housekeeping, security) with Store Manager as needed.
• Coordinate with HQ departments (IT, HR, Non-Trade, A&P, Maintenance, Customer Service) to complete routine duties on schedule.
• Assist Store Manager with half-year stock take and planogram updates.
• Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally.
• Support sales, marketing and promotions, and relay issues to Store Manager.
• Multitask to support all departments as needed.
• Perform other general operational duties and ad-hoc tasks.

Job description

Assist oversee for overall store operations and understand all department staff functions. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in monitor all department and store condition are ready for business at all time

Monitor all company rules & regulations and SOP practice accordingly

Assist superior in follow up government relevant matters as when needed

Assist superior in daily administration tasks such as staff attendance, MC claim, leave application, working schedule and etc

Assist prepare reports (hostel listing, housekeeping & security monthly attendance & etc.) and keep posted to Store Manager as when needed

Coordinate and communicate with HQ backend support department (IT, HR, Non-Trade, A&P, Maintenance, Customer Service) to ensure daily, weekly & monthly routine duties complete as per schedule

Assist Store Manager to prepare half yearly stock take with make sure outlet planogram is updated and ensure outlet stock take accomplish as planning

Assist to handle customer inquiries or complaints in a polite manner

Assist and support all sales, marketing and promotional activities and feedback relevant issues to Store Manager

Multitasking in assist to resolve and support all departments as when needed

Perform any other duties in general operational functions and ad-hoc assignments

You should have:

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia and English

Minimum STPM in any field
