About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager - Student Recruitment to join our dynamic team at our campus in Ipoh, Perak. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in driving student enrolment and building the reputation of our institution. As Assistant Manager, you will be instrumental in developing and executing recruitment strategies that attract qualified and diverse students to our programmes. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, admissions, and student services, making it essential to our institutional growth and success.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive student recruitment strategies and campaigns to increase enrolment across all academic programmes
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify target student demographics and emerging opportunities in the education sector
• Coordinate and manage recruitment activities including open days, campus tours, exhibitions, and promotional events
• Build and maintain relationships with secondary schools, colleges, and other feeder institutions to promote our programmes
• Oversee the creation and dissemination of recruitment marketing materials, including brochures, digital content, and social media campaigns
• Manage the student application and admission process, ensuring efficiency and a positive candidate experience
• Analyze recruitment data and metrics to monitor campaign performance and provide regular reports to senior management
• Collaborate with academic departments to ensure accurate representation of programme offerings and institutional strengths
• Support the training and supervision of recruitment staff and ambassadors
• Liaise with international recruitment partners to expand student recruitment globally where applicable

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in student recruitment, admissions, or higher education marketing
• Proven track record of successfully meeting or exceeding enrolment targets
• Strong understanding of the higher education landscape in Malaysia and familiarity with relevant regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and educational partners
• Demonstrated project management capabilities and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Creative thinking and the ability to develop innovative recruitment strategies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital marketing tools
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments
• Preferably fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, with other languages being an advantage
