We are hiring an experienced Business Development Manager to drive student‑recruitment business growth across Malaysia. This role will build, onboard and manage our local education‑agent partner network, execute partnership development, deliver recruitment events, nurture relationships with agents, prospective students and parents, and provide actionable Malaysia‑market intelligence. The candidate will deliver and exceed student enrolment KPIs, and build sustainable high‑value partnerships for our institution.
Identify, onboard, develop and manage a portfolio of Malaysian education‑agent partners. Build trusted long‑term relationships with agency principals and counsellors.
Deliver regular agent training sessions, webinars and product briefings to ensure agents fully understand our K12 & foundation programmes & International Year One programmes, entry requirements, tuition fees and admission policies.
Manage agent account performance, drive lead generation and student conversion from partner network, resolve operational challenges for agent partners.
Execute BD and student‑recruitment initiatives through agent channels as well as direct‑recruitment activities.
Represent our institution at Malaysia education exhibitions, recruitment fairs, agent workshops and school‑visit activities; deliver public presentations for market outreach.
Engage with prospective students and parents, support candidates throughout the full admission and enrolment journey.
Compile regular performance updates and market‑insight reports for regional leadership, provide practical recommendations for recruitment‑strategy optimisation.
Achieve and exceed agreed student‑recruitment & enrolment KPIs; drive lead generation, application submission and final conversion outcomes.
Collaborate closely with admission, academic and operational teams to streamline admission workflows and enhance partner‑and‑student experience.
Bachelor’s degree. Minimum 5‑8years’ hands‑on working experience in Malaysia international‑education business development, agent‑partner management and student recruitment.
Proven track‑record of meeting and over‑achieving recruitment enrolment KPIs; practical experience building and scaling Malaysia‑based education‑agent networks.
Solid hands‑on experience delivering agent training, webinars, public presentations, and representing organisations at local education fairs and industry events.
Strong negotiation, relationship‑building and cross‑functional collaboration skills. Chinese language proficiency is a strong plus.
Deep familiarity with Malaysia school landscape, local parent & student expectations, study‑path preferences and student‑visa requirements for international‑school programmes.
