Job summary

KARRUS AUTOMOTIVE SDN. BHD is seeking an Assistant Manager, Sales to drive sales growth and manage retail partners in Malaysia. You will work with Marketing and Operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience and expand Meguiar's market presence.

The role requires ownership, problem-solving, and the ability to grow the business through new opportunities and strong relationships with automotive retailers and corporate customers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of sales, account management or business development experience.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Commercially minded with good customer relationship skills.
• Self-driven, organised and able to work independently.
• Willing to travel for customer visits, events and BD activities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Business in achieving monthly sales and revenue targets.
• Develop new business with automotive retailers, detailing centres, workshops, dealerships, accessories retailers, e-commerce partners and corporate customers.
• Identify and follow up on new sales opportunities and maintain an active sales pipeline.
• Visit customers regularly to understand needs, introduce products and grow sales.
• Monitor competitor pricing, activities and market trends.
• Manage and maintain good relationships with existing customers and key accounts.
• Monitor customer sales, stock levels and product movement.
• Work with customers and Operations to ensure timely orders and product replenishment.
• Develop knowledge of Meguiar's product range and recommend right products to customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations and basic product training for retailers, detailing centres and customers.

Reporting to the Head of Business, you will play a key role in driving sales growth, managing retail partners, developing new business opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding Meguiar's market presence. About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in sales, account management or business development.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Commercially minded with good customer relationship skills.
• Self-driven, organised and comfortable working independently.
• Willing to travel for customer visits, events and business development activities.
• Experience in automotive, automotive aftermarket, FMCG, retail or consumer products is an advantage.
• Passion for automotive products or car detailing is also a plus.
