Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee planning, coordination, monitoring, and delivery of construction or property-development projects in Johor Bahru. This hands-on leader translates project plans into well-coordinated site execution and maintains accurate schedules and reports.

You will manage project planning, approvals, data management, construction scheduling, resource coordination, cost monitoring, and progress reporting to ensure on-time, safe, and quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Several years of project management experience in construction or property development.
  • Strong understanding of planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and progress monitoring.
  • Ability to interpret project information and produce clear progress reports.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, coordinate, and monitor project plans, approvals, schedules, and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules covering design, construction activities, labour, materials, machinery, costs, and other project resources.
  • Coordinate and monitor work implementation across piling, building, infrastructure, facilities and related construction activities.
  • Collect, validate, update, and report project data to support accurate progress tracking and decision-making.
  • Monitor project progress against approved plans, milestones, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Identify potential delays, risks, resource constraints, and delivery issues, and work with relevant stakeholders to develop practical solutions.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, site teams, and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Prepare regular project updates, status reports, and schedule revisions for management review.
  • Support continuous improvement in project planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting processes.

  • Experience coordinating construction activities such as piling, building works, infrastructure, and facilities works.

  • Ability to interpret project information, maintain accurate records, and produce clear progress reports.

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects or workstreams at the same time.

  • Proactive, organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with a range of project stakeholders.
