Hunters International Sdn Bhd is partnering with a high-precision manufacturing client in Shah Alam, Selangor, to appoint an Assistant Manager / Manager, Operations & Supply Chain. The role covers end-to-end production planning, strategic procurement, and logistics operations in a high-mix, low-volume environment, with a focus on cost-efficient, compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of supply chain and procurement experience in manufacturing/engineering
• Proficiency in English with multilingual communication skills; Mandarin a plus
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; MBA is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Production Planning: Direct end-to-end scheduling and capacity allocation for in-house and outsourced operations; coordinate with Sales, Engineering and Quality to align delivery timelines.
• Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management: Formulate procurement frameworks, manage direct machining sub-suppliers and vendors; drive cost-down initiatives with KPI tracking.
• Logistics & Inventory Control: Oversee warehouse operations, shipping arrangements, import/export documentation, freight vendor performance, and ERP-based inventory tracking.
• Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Lead procurement, production planning and logistics teams; streamline workflows using ERP/MRP tools and maintain ISO compliance.

We are looking for an Assistant Manager / Manager,Operations & Supply Chainto oversee end-to-end production planning, strategic procurement, and logistics operations within the precision manufacturing environment. In this role, you will optimize supply chain frameworks, ensure smooth and cost-effective operations,manage supplier performance, and champion digital tools to support the scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Planning: Direct end-to-end production scheduling and capacity allocation for in-house and outsourced operations,monitor job releases and work order prioritization,close collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and Quality teams to align delivery timelines and order specifications.
• Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management: Formulate procurement frameworks, manage direct machining sub-suppliers and other vendors, and drive cost-down initiatives through rigorous performance and KPI tracking.
• Logistics & Inventory Control: Oversee warehouse operations andshipping arrangements, import/export documentation, freight vendor performance, and accurate ERP-based inventory tracking.
• Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Lead the procurement, production planning, and logistics team while streamlining workflows through advanced ERP/MRP tools and maintaining ISO compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (MBA is an advantage).
• Minimum 5–7 yearsof relevant supply chain and procurement experience in a manufacturing or engineering industry, including 2–3 yearsin a managerial position.
• Proficiency in Englishalongside multilingual capabilities for effective communication with diverse local and international vendors.Mandarin is a plus.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier development, or production planning.
