Randstad Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist to lead technical procurement initiatives for new product development and manufacturing operations in Malaysia. Formulate strategic sourcing plans, conduct should-cost evaluations, and partner with engineering teams to ensure component readiness and supplier selection.

Lead commercial negotiations, manage vendor qualification, and drive total cost of ownership improvements while ensuring quality.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in strategic sourcing, technical procurement, or supply chain within manufacturing.
• Experience supporting new product introduction with engineering functions.
• Knowledge of should-cost, value engineering, and TCO principles.
• Strong negotiation, contract administration, and cross-functional PM skills.

Responsabilités

• Formulate and implement strategic sourcing plans for critical production materials and subcontracting services.
• Partner with engineering teams during NPD phases to facilitate component readiness and supplier selection.
• Conduct should-cost evaluations and value engineering analyses to drive cost savings.
• Lead commercial negotiations on pricing structures, supply agreements, and lead-time commitments with key vendors.
• Manage vendor qualification and performance reviews to ensure adherence to technical specifications and quality standards.

• Practical understanding of should-cost modeling, value engineering, and total cost of ownership principles.
• Strong commercial negotiation, contract administration, and cross-functional project management capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business administration, or a related discipline.
• Able to communicate with China stakeholder will be advantage !
