Job summary

Marks & Spencer Asia is seeking a highly commercial Assistant Logistics Manager to drive regional supply chain operations in Singapore & Malaysia. Based in Johor Bahru, you will oversee end-to-end logistics across Clothing, Home, Beauty, and Food categories, leading third-party providers and optimizing inbound freight to ensure shelves are stocked efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years experience in logistics or freight forwarding.
• At least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Hands-on experience with 3PL partners and overseeing air and ocean freight.
• Deep knowledge of Malaysian customs clearance process.
• Strong leadership, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Lead end to end logistics operations, managing 3PL performance, cost efficiency, and service accuracy across all product categories.
• Oversee inbound logistics lead times and costs from origin to the distribution centre.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior Malaysian Customs officials to ensure seamless and rapid customs clearance.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to minimize operational costs and maximize product availability.
• Ensure strict compliance with local government regulatory standards, including product registration, labeling, and documentation.
• Champion health, safety and environmental standards while ensuring full compliance with Marks and Spencer global food safety requirements.
• Provide clear commercial reporting on volume, cost versus plan, and strategic initiatives to regional leadership.

Marks and Spencer Asia is seeking a highly commercial Assistant Logistics Manager to drive regional supply chain operations in Singapore & Malaysia. Based in the Johor Bahru, you will oversee end to end integrated logistics across Clothing, Home, Beauty, and Food categories. This is a high impact leadership role where you will manage third party logistics providers, optimize inbound freight costs, and ensure merchandise reaches retail shelves efficiently. You will act as a key commercial partner to the business, balancing operational excellence with strict regulatory compliance.

About you

• Deep technical knowledge of the Malaysian customs clearance process.
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, and decision making skills to solve complex supply chain challenges and optimize costs.
• Strong communication skills with full proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
