Job summary

Funding Societies | Modalku is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Lead in Kuala Lumpur to oversee team leadership and the end-to-end drawdown and documentation workflow in a fast-paced fintech setting.

You will manage a 7-8 person team, implement process improvements with AI, and drive compliance with eKYC/AML standards while delivering on SLAs. This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in fintech, digital lending, or banking back-office operations, including 3+ years in a team lead/supervisory role.
• Domain knowledge of credit end-to-end lifecycle, eKYC and AML basics; trade finance knowledge is a plus.
• Proven ability to adapt quickly to change and drive measurable process improvements with AI/automation.
• Strong coaching, communication, stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Data-driven mindset with proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and reporting tools (SQL, Power BI).
• Self-starter with high attention to detail and resilience in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and manage a team of 7–8, including onboarding a team lead.
• Oversee end-to-end drawdown processing, ensuring SLA and compliance.
• Engage in hands-on escalation handling, quality sampling, and audits.
• Set operational standards, checklists and control workflows for accuracy and compliance.
• Apply credit framework and eKYC/AML requirements daily and elevate issues as needed.
• Map workflows to drive efficiency and pilot AI tools to streamline processes.
• Build dashboards to track KPIs, turnaround times and SLA compliance.
• Analyse data and present recommendations to senior leadership.
