Job summary

Funding Societies | Modalku is hiring for an operations-focused role in Kuala Lumpur. You will handle daily back-office tasks including EKYC, AML screenings, and loan documentation checks, ensuring compliance and timely processing.

You will support audits, develop process improvements, and assist with AI tool testing and automation. Strong Excel ability and interest in data analytics are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in fintech, digital lending, or banking back-office operations.
• Working knowledge of KYC, loan documentation, and AML requirements.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may be considered for the Exec level.
• Willingness to learn new tools and contribute ideas for automating processes.
• Clear communicator who works well with internal teams and follows through on tasks.
• Strong data handling and MS Excel proficiency; SQL or Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily operational tasks accurately and on time, including EKYC/AML screenings and loan documentation checks.
• Support monthly audits by preparing records, following up on gaps, and resolving discrepancies.
• Follow established checklists, workflows, and SOPs to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Escalate exceptions, risks, or irregularities to the team lead promptly.
• Identify recurring bottlenecks or manual steps and suggest improvements; support testing and rollout of AI tools and automation solutions.
• Maintain and update process documentation and SOPs as workflows change.
• Prepare documentation for external stakeholders and maintain dashboards tracking KPIs, turnaround times, error rates, and SLA compliance.
• Pull and organize operational data to support analysis and reporting to management.

What you will do:

• Daily Operations & Compliance

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• Experience: 1–3 years in fintech, digital lending, or banking back-office operations. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may be considered for the Exec level.
• Domain Knowledge: Working knowledge of KYC, loan documentation, and AML requirements, or a strong interest in building it.
• Added Advantage: Experience in government vendor financing operations (e.g. financing for suppliers or contractors to government agencies).
• Process Mindset: Eager to learn new tools and contribute ideas for automating and improving processes.
• Collaboration: Clear communicator who works well with internal teams and follows through on tasks.
• Analytical Skills: Comfortable with Excel and basic data handling. Exposure to SQL or Power BI is a plus.
• Key Traits: Meticulous attention to detail, reliable under tight timelines, proactive, and keen to grow in a fast-paced environment.
