Job summary

Funding Societies | Modalku is seeking a detail-oriented Operations Associate to support daily tasks, EKYC/AML screenings, and loan documentation checks. You will uphold regulatory standards and assist with audits.

You will also help streamline processes, test AI tools, and maintain process documentation while collaborating with internal teams to improve efficiency in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, digital lending or banking back-office operations (1–3 years).
• Working knowledge of KYC, loan documentation, AML requirements or strong interest.
• Willingness to learn, automate, and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily operational tasks accurately and on time, including EKYC/AML screenings and loan documentation checks.
• Support monthly audits by preparing records, following up on gaps, and resolving discrepancies.
• Follow SOPs to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance; escalate issues promptly.
• Identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements; support AI tool testing and rollout.
• Prepare documentation and maintain dashboards tracking team KPIs and SLAs.

What you will do:

• Daily Operations & Compliance
  • Execute daily operational tasks accurately and on time, including document reviews, EKYC/AML screenings, and loan documentation checks
  • Support monthly audits by preparing records, following up on gaps, and resolving discrepancies
  • Follow established checklists, workflows, and SOPs to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Escalate exceptions, risks, or irregularities to the team lead promptly
• Process Improvement & AI
  • Identify recurring bottlenecks or manual steps in day-to-day work and suggest improvements
  • Support the testing and rollout of AI tools and automation solutions, including user testing and feedback
  • Help maintain and update process documentation and SOPs as workflows change
• Reporting & Analytics
  • Prepare documentation for external stakeholders under the guidance of the team lead
  • Maintain and update dashboards tracking team KPIs, turnaround times, error rates, and SLA compliance
  • Pull and organize operational data to support analysis and reporting to management

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• Experience: 1-3 years in fintech, digital lending, or banking back-office operations. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may be considered for the Exec level
• Domain Knowledge: Working knowledge of KYC, loan documentation, and AML requirements, or a strong interest in building it
• Added Advantage: Experience in government vendor financing operations (e.g. financing for suppliers or contractors to government agencies)
• Process Mindset: Eager to learn new tools and contribute ideas for automating and improving processes
• Collaboration: Clear communicator who works well with internal teams and follows through on tasks
• Analytical Skills: Comfortable with Excel and basic data handling. Exposure to SQL or Power BI is a plus
• Key Traits: Meticulous attention to detail, reliable under tight timelines, proactive, and keen to grow in a fast-paced environment
