Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Automation Executive to join our manufacturing team in Ipoh. A Diploma in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of relevant experience is required, along with strong PLC, pneumatic, sensor, and robotics skills, and a solid background in preventive maintenance and root-cause analysis.

You will lead maintenance activities, troubleshoot issues, and drive automation improvements to enhance productivity and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Experience with PLC, pneumatics, sensors and robotics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines and equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and minimize downtime to support production output and efficiency.
• Carry out preventive maintenance (PM) and ensure maintenance schedules are followed.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLC, pneumatic systems, sensors, and robotic systems.
• Perform machine fault finding and root-cause analysis (RCA) for recurring breakdowns.
• Coordinate with Production to respond promptly to machine breakdowns and production issues.
• Recommend and implement machine improvements and automation solutions to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
• Support machine installation, modification, commissioning, and automation projects.
• Maintain proper records of breakdowns, PM activities, spare parts, and machine performance.
• Work closely with Production and other departments to ensure machines are reliable and ready for production.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and respond to urgent machine breakdowns.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in production automation and machine improvement will be an advantage.
