Job summary

DKSH Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant, Inventory Management to support sourcing and supply chain operations within the FMCG retailing environment. The role contributes to procurement, supplier management, and inventory control to enable smooth product launches and supply continuity.

The candidate will work with SAP/ERP systems, coordinate PO activities, and assist in NPD/SKU launches, with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Business Management, or a relevant discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged; 1–2 years in sourcing, inventory management, supply chain, or related function is an advantage.
• Experience in food, FMCG, retailing or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of RFQ, quotation analysis, vendor management, and purchase order coordination.
• Proficient in Excel and SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
• Strong commercial sense with negotiation and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to follow through on commitments.
• Proactive, adaptable, resilient and able to manage changing priorities under pressure.
• Collaborative mindset with sound judgement and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end sourcing activities including RFQ prep, quotation analysis, and supplier negotiation.
• Coordinate purchase orders and support supplier management to ensure timely supply of goods.
• Assist in coordination of New Product Development (NPD) and SKU launches from sourcing to availability.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support stock accuracy and availability.
• Monitor and update data in SAP and ERP systems for visibility and reporting.
• Prepare and maintain sourcing and procurement documentation per company procedures.
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability in managing tasks independently, escalate as needed.
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required.

The Assistant, Inventory Management supports DKSH's sourcing and supply chain operations within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Retailing environment, contributing to efficient procurement, supplier management, and inventory control. This role plays a key part in enabling smooth product launches and supply continuity across the Sourcing & Inventory Management function.

What You Will Deliver

• Support end-to-end sourcing activities including Request for Quotation (RFQ) preparation, quotation analysis, and supplier negotiation to secure optimal commercial outcomes
• Coordinate purchase orders and support supplier management to ensure timely and accurate supply of goods
• Assist in the coordination of New Product Development (NPD) and Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) launches, ensuring smooth execution from sourcing through to availability
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory management activities to uphold stock accuracy and availability
• Monitor and update data in SAP and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to support operational visibility and reporting
• Prepare and maintain sourcing and procurement documentation in accordance with company procedures
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability in managing assigned tasks independently, escalating issues appropriately when required
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required

What You Bring

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Business Management, or a relevant discipline
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; 1 to 2 years of experience in sourcing, inventory management, supply chain, or a related function is an added advantage
• Experience in a food, FMCG, retailing, or manufacturing environment is preferred
• Knowledge of sourcing and inventory management processes including RFQ, quotation analysis, vendor management, and purchase order coordination
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP or equivalent ERP systems
• Strong commercial sense with good negotiation and influencing skills
• Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to follow through on commitments
• Proactive, adaptable, and resilient with the ability to manage changing priorities and deliver effectively under pressure
• Collaborative mindset with sound judgement and a genuine willingness to learn
