Job summary

Charterhouse Resources in Malaysia is seeking a Country Assistant HR Manager to helm a full-spectrum HR function within a fast-paced logistics setting, covering operations, recruitment, payroll and compliance.

You will partner with management and staff to drive onboarding, performance management, training and HR process improvements across the employee lifecycle, while ensuring adherence to local regulations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of relevant HR experience, preferably with full-spectrum HR exposure.
• Experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, warehousing, manufacturing or other operational environments is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Singapore employment practices and HR regulations.
• Strong experience in recruitment, employee relations, HR operations and payroll coordination.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems is an advantage.
• Mature, hands‑on and solutions‑oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day full-spectrum HR operations across the employee lifecycle.
• Handle onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions and offboarding.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment for both operational and corporate positions.
• Partner with hiring managers on manpower planning and recruitment requirements.
• Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters and performance‑related issues.
• Coordinate monthly payroll, attendance, overtime, leave, allowances and employee benefits.
• Ensure HR policies and practices comply with Singapore employment legislation.
• Manage performance appraisal, probation and confirmation processes.
• Coordinate employee training and development programmes.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
• Prepare HR reports covering headcount, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment and other HR metrics.
• Support employee engagement and welfare initiatives.
• Review and improve HR policies, processes and workflows.
• Support HR projects, system implementation and process improvement initiatives.
• Provide HR advice and support to managers and employees on day‑to‑day HR matters.
