Job summary

Dada Consultants is recruiting an HR Generalist for our Malaysia office. This hands-on role anchors day-to-day HR operations, spanning onboarding, payroll, records, and compliance in a fast-paced tech environment.

Collaborate with regional HR teams, support recruitment, employee relations, and performance management, while ensuring data integrity and scalable, people-first HR practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field; 3+ years HR Generalist experience
• Solid knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act and local HR practices, including compliance requirements
• Experience with payroll coordination and HRIS systems
• Strong recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations foundation; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; HR analytics experience advantageous
• Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD/SHRM) is a bonus
• Mandarin proficiency is required to communicate with internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Own the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding and contract administration
• Maintain accurate HR records and HRIS data for reporting and analytics
• Coordinate interview scheduling, new hire documentation, and orientation
• Support employer branding and campus recruitment initiatives as needed
• Serve as first point of contact for employee HR queries and assist managers with employee relations
• Coordinate performance reviews and probation cycles and support learning and talent initiatives
• Prepare monthly payroll inputs and coordinate with Finance and payroll vendors for salary processing
• Administer benefits, leave management, statutory submissions, and employee reimbursements

They are looking for a capable and people-oriented HR Generalist to anchor day-to-day HR operations for their Malaysia office, while collaborating closely with regional HR teams and business leaders. This is a broad, hands-on role that spans the full spectrum of HR functions — from recruitment coordination and employee relations to payroll administration and compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Own the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, contract administration, confirmation letters, promotions, and transfers
• Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, and HRIS data to ensure data integrity and support HR reporting and analytics
• Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to coordinate interview scheduling, new hire documentation, and orientation programmes, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience
• Support employer branding and campus recruitment initiatives as needed
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR queries, and assist managers in handling employee relations matters including performance issues, attendance, disciplinary cases, and grievances
• Coordinate performance review and probation confirmation cycles, and support learning, development, and talent management initiatives
• Prepare monthly payroll inputs and coordinate with Finance and external payroll vendors to ensure accurate and timely salary processing
• Administer employee benefits, insurance, leave management, statutory submissions, and employee claims and reimbursements

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline, with at least 3 years of HR Generalist experience
• Solid knowledge of the Malaysian Employment Act and local HR best practices, including statutory compliance requirements
• Demonstrated experience in payroll coordination and working with HRIS systems
• Strong foundation in recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with HR analytics and reporting (is a bonus)
• Prior experience supporting regional HR operations, or a professional HR certification such as CIPD or SHRM (is a bonus)
• Proficiency in Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders
