We are looking for a hands-onAssistant Finance Manager to manage the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions, including GL, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, project costing, budgeting and monthly management reporting. The role will also oversee intercompany transactions, SST, e-Invoicing, tax and statutory compliance, as well as coordinate with auditors, tax agents and other external parties.
Responsibilities
- Manage full set of accounts, including general ledger, project module, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations
- Maintain proper records for fixed assets and inventories
- Maintain accurate project costing and project budgeting records
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, supporting schedules and variance analyses
- Assist with budgeting, cash-flow forecasting and financial planning
- Prepare for sales invoices and payment transactions with supporting documents
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations and balance confirmations with related companies
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory requirements
- Manage SST, Malaysian e-Invoicing and other applicable tax compliance matters
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers and government authorities
- Prepare audit schedules, tax information and supporting documents for annual audits and tax filings
- Maintain appropriate internal controls and recommend improvements to finance and operational processes
- Perform other duties as requested by the management
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- At least five years of relevant finance and accounting experience, with practical exposure to HR and payroll functions will be an advantage
- Able to independently manage a full set of accounts
- Good knowledge of Malaysian accounting, taxation and compliance requirement
- Familiar with SST, Malaysian e-Invoicing, EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) will be an advantage
- Experience in a design-and-build or project-based environment will be advantageous
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Able to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities and meet reporting deadlines
- Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
- High level of integrity, accuracy, accountability and confidentiality
Working Arrangement
Hybrid working arrangement, comprising both office-based and remote working days, subject to the company’s operational requirements and policies
The successful candidate must be available to attend the Singapore office when required
Regular communication and coordination with the relevant departments are required
