Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG is seeking a Failure Analysis professional to perform sample preparation, conduct analysis, and evaluate root causes within a semiconductor QM environment.

The role requires 5–6 years of Failure Analysis experience, knowledge of backend processes, and the ability to work 12-hour day/night rotations. The candidate will maintain equipment, ensure safety, and support flexible tasks across projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma in engineering required (Mechatronic/Electrical/Mechanical or equivalent).
• SPM passed with Mathematics & English.
• 5–6 years of QM Failure Analysis experience in semiconductor.
• Experience with sample preparation and Failure Analysis tools.
• Knowledge of semiconductor backend processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample preparation for development projects and RE.
• Maintain analytical equipment in good condition.
• Fulfill tasks and targets as deployed by supervision.
• Ensure 5S and safety compliance for machines and workstations.
• Dispose of chemical and critical waste per rules.
• Complete mandatory/refresher training in system.
• Communicate effectively with engineers and internal teams.
• Support ad-hoc requests from superiors.

Failure Analysis methods and development related to Failure modes, FA lab tools implementation, Failure analysis execution, root cause evaluation, IPI.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Perform sample preparation activities for new and existing development / technology projects / RE.
• Responsible for maintaining analytical equipment under their care to ensure always in good condition.
• Fulfill tasks and targets which will be deployed from time to time.
• Ensure compliance of 5S and safety rules for all machines, equipment and workstations.
• Responsible for disposal of chemical waste and critical waste.
• Ensure all mandatory / refresher training not overdue in system.
• Have good communication skills to interact with engineers and internal team.
• To support ad-hoc request assign by superior.

Your profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Minimum Diploma in Engineering (Mechatronic, Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent).
• Must passed SPM including subject Mathematics & English.
• Minimum 5 - 6 years of experience in QM Failure Analysis from Semiconductor.
• Experience in sample preparation and Failure Analysis analysis tools.
• Knowledge in semiconductor backend process.
• Must be able to work in 12 hours Shift (Day & Night rotation)
