Job summary

Infineon Technologies in Penang seeks a senior engineer to perform full physical failure analysis on memory, IoT, USB, and microcontrollers, and to document findings in detailed failure reports.

You will liaise with engineering teams on corrective actions, drive new analysis techniques, and own select tools and equipment to support advanced semiconductor devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electronics, Electrical, Microelectronics, Material Engineering, Material Science, Physics or Chemistry.
• 8–10 years of silicon-level IC failure analysis experience.
• Knowledge of semiconductor physics is preferred.
• Familiarity with bench test setup and fault isolation techniques (OBIRCH, Photon emission, thermal emission).
• Experience with die deprocessing and advanced FA tools (FESEM, FIB, nano-probing).
• AI knowledge would be an added advantage.

• Bachelor in Electronics/ Electrical/ Microelectronics / Material Engineering, Material Science, Physics or Chemistry.
• Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in silicon level failure analysis on IC failure.
• Preferable with knowledge related to semiconductor and physics.
• Familiarity on Bench test setup and verification, fault isolation equipment / technique such as OBIRCH, Photon and Thermal emission.
• Familiarity in die deprocessing and proficiency in operating advance failure analysis tools (e.g. FESEM, FIB, nano-probing)
• and knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (Al) would be added advantage.
