Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio, in Bayan Lepas, Penang, seeks an Assistant Digital Marketing Manager to join its marketing team. This full-time role focuses on developing digital strategies, managing campaigns, and boosting online presence across multiple channels.

You will work with the Digital Marketing Manager to optimize content, analyze performance, and drive bookings for the luxury hotel while enhancing customer engagement and brand visibility.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in hospitality or tourism.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and drive bookings for the hotel.
• Manage and update the hotel's website content, ensuring accuracy, relevance and optimal user experience.
• Create and schedule social media content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.
• Monitor social media performance, engage with followers and respond to customer enquiries in a timely manner.
• Support the creation of email marketing campaigns and maintain subscriber databases.
• Assist with SEO and SEM activities to improve online visibility.
• Analyse digital marketing metrics and provide regular performance reports to management.
• Collaborate with the creative team to develop engaging visual content and promotional materials.
• Support the organisation of online events, virtual tours and promotional activities.
• Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities and emerging digital marketing tools.

About the role We are seeking an Assistant Digital Marketing Manager to join the marketing team at Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio. This is a full-time position based in Bayan Lepas, Penang, offering an exciting opportunity to develop your digital marketing expertise within the luxury hospitality sector. You will work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to drive our online presence, manage digital campaigns, and support the hotel's strategic marketing initiatives across multiple platforms and channels.

Key responsibilities

Assist in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and drive bookings for the hotel

Manage and update the hotel's website content, ensuring accuracy, relevance and optimal user experience

Create and schedule social media content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok

Assist with search engine optimisation (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) activities to improve online visibility

Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities and emerging digital marketing tools

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or related field

2-3 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry

Strong knowledge of social media platforms and content management systems

Proficiency in digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite and email marketing platforms

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages an advantage

Creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging and original content

Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite knowledge is beneficial)

Passion for the hospitality industry and commitment to delivering excellent customer service

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and take direction from senior staff

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and data-driven decision making
