Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio, in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is hiring a dynamic Human Resources Executive to lead recruitment, onboarding, and HR initiatives for a thriving hospitality team.

The role focuses on building engaged talent, enforcing compliance with Malaysia labour laws, and delivering training and development programs to elevate workforce performance within a luxury hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably within hospitality or hotel industry.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organisation.
• Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.
• Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes, including job advertising, candidate screening, interviews and new employee orientation.
• Administer employee relations matters, including contract management, performance management and conflict resolution.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
• Support the development and delivery of employee training and development programmes to enhance skills and career progression.
• Coordinate employee engagement activities and initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
• Assist in the design and administration of compensation and benefits packages.
• Handle employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies, procedures and entitlements.
• Support compliance with local labour laws, regulations and industry best practices.
• Prepare HR reports and analytics to inform strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with department managers to identify workforce needs and implement solutions.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Human Resources Executive to join our team at our Bayan Lepas, Penang location on a full-time basis. This is a strategic role that plays a vital part in our hotel's success by driving human resources initiatives and supporting our commitment to building an engaged, motivated and high-performing workforce. As Human Resources Executive, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing HR strategies that attract, develop and retain top talent within our hospitality operation. Your contributions will directly impact our organisational culture, employee satisfaction and overall business performance.
