Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor for a full-time, on-site position. You will lead the housekeeping team to maintain luxury standards across the property and ensure superb guest satisfaction.

The role requires 3-5 years of housekeeping experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, plus strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to join the Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio in Bayan Lepas, Penang. This is a full-time position based on-site at our hotel location. As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation and guest satisfaction across our property. You will lead and oversee the housekeeping team, ensuring that all areas of the hotel are maintained to the exceptional standards expected of a luxury Tribute Portfolio property. This role is essential to delivering the outstanding guest experience that defines our brand.

Key responsibilities

Supervise, train and manage housekeeping staff, ensuring they maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel

Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with hotel standards and brand expectations

Schedule and allocate work assignments to housekeeping team members, optimising efficiency and productivity

Address guest complaints and concerns related to cleanliness and room conditions, responding promptly to maintain guest satisfaction

Maintain accurate records of room status, maintenance issues and inventory of cleaning supplies and materials

Coordinate with other hotel departments, particularly Front Office and Maintenance, to ensure seamless operations

Manage the housekeeping budget, including ordering and controlling costs of cleaning supplies and equipment

Identify training needs and conduct regular coaching and development sessions for housekeeping staff

Implement and enforce health, safety and hygiene protocols in accordance with hotel policies and local regulations

Monitor and improve housekeeping processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality

What we're looking for

Minimum 3-5 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role

Experience working in a luxury hotel environment or high-end hospitality establishment

Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning standards, and best practices

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff

Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues at all levels

Problem-solving abilities and capability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively

Knowledge of health, safety and hygiene regulations relevant to hospitality operations

Proficiency in hotel management systems and basic computer skills

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required

Fluency in English; additional language skills are advantageous

Certification in housekeeping or hospitality management is preferred but not essential
