PMX Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Project Architect to lead architectural design and technical coordination for data centre construction projects.

You will work with consultants, engineers, contractors, and project teams to ensure designs meet requirements, codes, and quality standards while achieving timelines. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Architecture and 3–5 years of related experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related discipline is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in architectural design, project coordination, or construction.
• Experience coordinating architectural design and construction-related technical matters.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or similar tools.
• Good knowledge of building codes, local authorities, and regulations.
• Experience coordinating with Structural, MEP, BIM teams and contractors.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving and time management skills.
• Experience in data centre, industrial, or large-scale projects is a plus.
• Willing to travel or work at project sites when required.

• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project updates.
• Support site teams to ensure works follow approved drawings and specs.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Project Architect to manage and coordinate architectural design and technical matters for our data centre construction projects. This role involves working closely with consultants, engineers, contractors, and project teams to ensure designs meet project requirements, building regulations, and quality standards while achieving project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate architectural design activities from planning and design development through construction and project completion.
• Prepare, develop, review, and update architectural drawings, plans, specifications, presentations, and 3D models.
• Review architectural designs and construction drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements, building codes, and relevant regulations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and BIM teams, to ensure proper design integration and resolve clashes.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities on architectural design matters, technical issues, and project requirements.
• Review and resolve architectural design issues, drawing discrepancies, and technical challenges during project execution.
• Coordinate and monitor architectural submissions, design approvals, and deliverables to meet project schedules.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of architectural drawings, design changes, and project-related information.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project updates for internal teams and stakeholders.
• Support site teams on architectural matters and ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in architectural design, project coordination, or construction projects.
• Experience in managing architectural design coordination and construction-related technical matters.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other relevant architectural design software.
• Good understanding of building codes, local authority requirements, construction methods, and architectural standards.
• Experience in coordinating with Structural, MEP, BIM, consultants, and contractors.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Experience in data centre, industrial, or large-scale construction projects will be an added advantage.
• Willing to travel or work at project sites when required.
