You will prepare monthly management accounts, assist in month-end closure, and liaise with auditors and tax agents. Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems is essential to optimize processes and foster financial control.

We're looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Account Manager to keep our financial operations running smoothly. If you enjoy working with numbers, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to business success in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to have you on our team.

Job Description:

Handle full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and bank reconciliations.

Self-driven and hands-on in managing daily accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of tasks.

Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and schedules accurately and on time.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.

Ensure all accounting transactions are properly recorded in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.

Taxation & Compliance

Prepare and submit SST, withholding tax, and other statutory filings where applicable.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.

Stakeholder & External Liaison

Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and government authorities.

Cash Flow & Financial Control

Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate financial records.

Monitor daily sales collections from multiple outlets and ensure proper reconciliation with POS systems.

Planning & Analysis

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and providing recommendations.

Process Improvement & Support

Review accounting processes and recommend improvement initiatives.

Perform other ad hoc duties assigned by management.

Use AI to improve productivity, reduce manual work, and enhance the accuracy of accounting and finance task.

Requirements:

LCCI / ACCA/ Diploma/ Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in handling full set of accounts.

Good knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), SST, and taxation.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. SQL, AutoCount, UBS, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in the retail, FMCG or manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
