We are looking for a commercially driven and hands‑on Assistance Branch Manager to lead and grow our JB Branch operations.
This role will take full ownership of the branch‑level business, including revenue growth, profitability, operations, team leadership, and customer management. The ideal candidate is someone who can balance both sales and operations while driving sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
- Drive revenue and gross profit growth across air & sea freight, and time‑critical logistics
- Develop new customers, key accounts, and strategic partnerships
- Manage full sales cycle: prospecting, quotation, negotiation, and closing
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitor activities
2. Operations Management
- Oversee end-to-end execution of time‑critical shipments.
- Ensure smooth coordination of flights, customs clearance, delivery, and updates
- Handle urgent issues such as delays, customs matter, and escalations
- Improve SOPs, service quality, and operational efficiency
- Lead and manage operations, sales support, and admin team
- Set clear KPIs, expectations, and accountability
- Ensure proper manpower planning including 24/7 coverage where required
- Build a responsive, disciplined, and service‑oriented team
5. Staff Development
- Coach and develop team on logistics operations and customer handling
- Identify training needs and support career growth
- Conduct regular performance reviews and feedback sessions
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, airlines, and vendors
- Ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction
- Negotiate rates and service agreements
- Monitor vendor performance and develop backup options
7. Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies
- Maintain proper documentation and shipment records
- Prepare regular reports on sales, operations, and financial performance
- Identify risks and propose practical solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in freight forwarding / logistics industry
- Strong knowledge of Air, Sea & Cross Boarder freight
- Proven experience in sales and business development
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience is an advantage
- Good communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills
- Willing to be on‑call for urgent operational matters
- PREFERABLY MANDARIN‑SPEAKING CANDIDATES TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY WITH CUSTOMERS FROM CHINA AND HONG KONG.
