Job summary

CARSOME in Malaysia is seeking an HR Generalist/People & Culture partner to support regional operations from Penang. You will manage local replacement hiring, onboarding, offboarding and employment administration while ensuring compliance and data confidentiality.

You will collaborate with HQ, advise line managers, drive People & Culture initiatives, and travel within the regional cluster to support multiple branch locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in HR generalist, HRBP, or People & Culture.
• Experience across multi-site or regional coverage.
• Ability to travel within regional cluster.
• Start-up/retail/fast-paced environment exposure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Your Day-to-Day

Your Know-How

• Minimum 4 years of relevant HR generalist, HRBP, or People & Culture experience, ideally with exposure to multi-site or regional coverage
• Experience in start-up, retail, fast pace environment.
• Proven ability to work independently on the ground with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment on escalation and prioritisation while staying closely aligned with the central HR team
• Willingness to travel within the assigned regional cluster and work across CARSOME branch locations.
• A proactive, service-oriented mindset - able to sense issues early and route them to the right owner.
• Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Self-Starter: High initiative with a positive attitude; able to work independently and as a team player.
