Job summary

DKSH is seeking an Area Executive to drive sales performance and operational excellence across F&B retail outlets in Miri, Bintulu, and Brunei. You will ensure SOP compliance, inventory accuracy, staffing, and KPI achievement to support DKSH's growth in the Sales function.

Responsibilities include leading recruitment, training, cost control, food safety, promotions, and customer service improvements. Travel within the designated region is required to cover outlets effectively.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business or related discipline required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Area Executive in the F&B retail chain industry.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel within Miri, Bintulu, and Brunei.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales-generating activities across assigned outlets to achieve and exceed sales targets and ensure timely collections.
• Supervise outlet PIC performance to ensure SOPs and standards are followed.
• Monitor and control outlet operating costs including labour and expenses, with monthly cash audit checks.
• Ensure outlets achieve strong OEA results through high operational and service standards.
• Oversee inventory management, stock counts, ordering, usage and wastage within KPI thresholds.
• Lead outlet recruitment, staff placement and manpower planning for peak periods.
• Address customer complaints and take timely corrective actions to protect brand reputation.

About The Role

The Area Executive drives sales performance and operational excellence across assigned Food and Beverage (F&B) retail outlets in Miri, Bintulu, and Brunei. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring outlet efficiency, team effectiveness, and customer satisfaction, directly contributing to DKSH's growth objectives within the Sales function.

What You Will Deliver

• Drive sales-generating activities across assigned outlets to achieve and exceed sales targets, ensuring accurate and timely sales collections are deposited into the company's account
• Supervise outlet Person in Charge (PIC) performance to ensure consistent compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational standards
• Monitor and control outlet operating costs including expenses and labour costs, and conduct monthly cash audit checks to uphold financial accountability
• Ensure outlets consistently achieve strong OEA results through high operational and service standards
• Oversee inventory management including stock count, ordering, usage, and wastage control within Key Performance Indicator (KPI) thresholds
• Lead outlet recruitment, staff placement, and manpower planning to meet operational demands across regular and peak periods
• Monitor outlet attrition rates and ensure full compliance with labour laws in all Human Resources (HR) matters
• Ensure all products are prepared in accordance with SOPs and that outlets comply with hygiene and food safety standards at all times
• Plan and facilitate training programmes and service improvement activities to achieve and sustain customer service standards
• Address and resolve customer complaints through timely corrective action to prevent recurrence and protect brand reputation
• Drive the execution of advertising and promotional activities and report progress and effectiveness to management
• Cascade operations KPIs to outlet PICs and team members through structured goal setting, tracking, and performance review processes
• Lead and develop team members in Retail and Outlet Operations, aligned with DKSH behavioral standards and continuous learning principles
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required, including new outlet set-up support, promotional counter activation, and outlet maintenance and pest control oversight

What You Bring

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Business or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification
• Minimum 1 year of working experience as an Area Executive in the F&B retail chain industry
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong analytical capabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills with demonstrated fluency in English
• Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach and the drive to meet targets in a dynamic environment
• Sound knowledge and understanding of the industry, market, and customer landscape
• Willingness and ability to travel within Miri, Bintulu, and Brunei
