Altera in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an Application Engineer to support regional customers and design teams in the next generation of FPGA designs. You will handle escalations, collaborate with field teams and distributors to improve designs and customer experience.

You will participate in international projects, develop training materials on new features and methodologies, and contribute to cross-organizational communication while staying current with industry approaches and practices.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Excellent knowledge of RTL-based design flows.
• Good understanding of FPGA/ASIC design process and tool flow.
• Experience with Quartus tool.
• Strong problem solving and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Handle key customer escalations from analysis to closure.
• Work with field teams and distributors to help customers improve designs and experience.
• Participate in development projects, possibly in international teams, and create collateral and reference designs.
• Develop and deliver training materials on new features and methodologies.
• Maintain strong local and international intra- and inter-organizational communication.
