Job summary

QES Group of Companies in Selangor is seeking an Application Engineer based in Selangor to join our engineering solutions team. You will collaborate with the sales team to determine customer needs and deliver product demonstrations for optical inspection equipment.

Responsibilities include pre-sales evaluation, solution proposal, software assessment, and product enhancements. Post-sale duties cover system setup, on-site training, and customer support.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electrical/Electronic/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• 1–2 years in Applications/Project Management in Semiconductor & Mechatronic backgrounds is an added advantage.
• Own transport and willingness to travel locally/overseas frequently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
• Good communication skills with customers and internal teams.
• Pleasant personality and able to interact with different levels/classes of people.

Application Engineer (Based in Selangor)

We are principally involved in manufacturing of optical inspection, measurement & automated handling equipment.

In line with the business expansion, we are currently seeking a motivated candidate to fill up the vacancy of Application Engineer (Based in Selangor).

General Responsibilities:-

Work with sales team and customer to determine the business needs and solution.

Support sales team to deliver product presentation and demonstration on respective product in-charged.

Confer with external customers and internal engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine customers' requirements professionally.

Work closely with the internal departments to ensure successful project execution.

To provide pre-sales support, which included the following:

Conduct internal evaluation on provided sample and propose solution to customer.

Evaluate vision/handler software and provide enhancement report.

Assist in modifying existing product to improve system performance.

Maintain clear and accurate documentations of problems solutions.

To provide after sales support, which included the following:

System set up and installation until the machine buy-off.

Provides on-site training to distributors and customers.

Communicate customer feedback to design team and make appropriate changes in product design.

Address customer queries and issues in a timely manner.

Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes.

Prepare weekly application schedule and weekly activities report.

Other duties assigned by superior from time to time.

Requirements:-
