Job summary

Aesseal Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Applications Engineer to provide technical support and engineering solutions for mechanical seals and seal support systems. You will review customer requirements, select suitable products, and prepare technical proposals to ensure solutions meet application needs.

The role involves collaborating with Sales, Service and internal teams to resolve technical issues and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply and learn.
• Good understanding of mechanical seals, pump applications and engineering drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings and datasheets.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications to determine suitable mechanical seal solutions.
• Select and recommend seals and related products based on requirements.
• Perform mechanical seal inspections and refurbishment assessments.
• Prepare technical proposals, drawings and documents.
• Ensure proposals meet industry standards, customer specifications and procedures.

• Support troubleshooting, failure analysis and root cause investigations.
• Coordinate with internal departments to support orders and delivery.

Job description

As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and engineering solutions for mechanical seals, seal support systems and related products. The role involves reviewing customer requirements, selecting suitable products, preparing technical proposals and ensuring the proposed solutions meet the application requirements.

The position will work closely with the Sales, Service, and internal teams to support customer inquiries, resolve technical issues and improve customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities:

Review customer specifications, technical documents and operating conditions to determine suitable mechanical seal solutions.

Select and recommend mechanical seals, seal support systems and related products based on customer requirements.

Perform mechanical seal inspection, refurbishment assessments and prepare assessment reports.

Prepare technical proposals, drawings and other engineering documents.

Ensure technical proposals comply with applicable industry standards, customer specifications and company procedures.

Provide technical support to the Sales team during customer meetings and technical discussions.

Support mechanical seal troubleshooting, failure analysis and root cause investigations.

Coordinate with internal departments to support order processing, engineering activities and timely delivery.

Maintain proper technical records, application data and customer documentation.

Support product training, technical presentations and knowledge sharing with customers and internal teams.

Job Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Fresh graduates with a strong interest in mechanical engineering and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Basic understanding of mechanical seal operation, pump applications and engineering drawings.

Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings and datasheets.

Experience in mechanical seals, rotating equipment, pumps or related engineering fields is an advantage.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with customers and internal teams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software is a plus.

Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Able to work independently as well as in a team.

Willing to travel to customer sites when required.
