Job summary

Vanderlande Industries GmbH in Malaysia is seeking a Sales Consultant II to drive service sales for automated baggage handling systems. You will identify customer needs, develop service solutions, and present proposals, acting as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders.

You will lead concept stages, translate solutions into plans, and design service solutions for large projects, while building relationships and guiding pricing decisions.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Electro-mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience designing and selling services for automated baggage handling systems.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex logistics problems and design service solutions.
• Demonstrated sales acumen with experience influencing design strategies and pricing decisions.
• Ability to lead and coach sales engineers within bid teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the concept stage of service sales projects with a multidisciplinary team.
• Translate service solutions into detailed plans aligned with technical and operational requirements.
• Design service solutions for medium to large projects using data and customer requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers; influence decisions at tactical and strategic levels.
• Own accuracy of service pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness and margin targets.
• Advise customers on service value and secure follow-on contracts.
• Drive process improvements and new methodologies within service sales projects.
• Travel internationally within APAC up to 30-40%.
