Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Sales Consultant II in Malaysia to drive service sales for automated baggage handling systems. You will lead cross-functional teams, design service solutions, and guide pricing decisions to optimize margins.

The role requires 8+ years in the field, a relevant engineering degree, and the ability to travel up to 40% regionally within APAC. You will partner with internal teams to win follow-on contracts.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 8+ years in service design/sales for automated baggage handling systems.
• Strong analytical skills to solve logistics problems.
• Demonstrated sales acumen with influence on design and pricing.
• Ability to lead and coach Sales Engineers and bid teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% regionally.
• Excellent relationship-building with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the concept stage of service sales projects with a multidisciplinary team.
• Translate service solutions into detailed plans aligned with technical needs.
• Design service solutions for medium to large projects using data and customer requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Own accuracy of service pricing to meet margin targets.
• Act as a business advisor to demonstrate value of services and secure contracts.
• Drive innovation by improving processes, methodologies, and tools in service projects.
• Travel internationally within APAC up to 30–40%.
