1000heads Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an IT Support Engineer / Junior Technologist to look after APAC IT for roughly 40 staff across KL, Sydney, Melbourne and Tokyo. You will split your time between day-to-day support, global IT integration with London, and regional technology projects.

You will diagnose and fix issues on macOS and Windows, manage Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, administer Google Workspace, and contribute to on-premise AI hardware and AWS environments while learning from senior

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years in an IT support or IT engineer role, ideally supporting more than one office.
• Strong troubleshooting across macOS and Windows.
• Confident with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID; working knowledge of Google Workspace.
• Networking fundamentals: Wi-Fi, switching, firewalls, VPN.
• Working knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu) administration.
• Some scripting in Bash or Python, and the appetite to get better at it.
• Experience with a ticketing system and with AV and meeting-room technology.
• Clear written and spoken English, since much of this role is asynchronous and cross-region.
• Comfortable working independently with a remote manager, and proactive about flagging risks.
• Strong IT knowledge and a genuine desire to broaden your skillset into infrastructure, cloud, development and AI tooling.

Responsabilités

• APAC IT support for the region (macOS/Windows, tickets in Freshservice, AV and meeting-room tech).
• Onboarding/offboarding for APAC: laptops, accounts, access, equipment returns; administer Entra ID and Google Workspace.
• Global IT integration and out-of-hours cover: align with London policies and join cross-office rollouts.
• Regional technology projects: build internal tools, support pitches, test AI tooling, and maintain AI hardware & AWS.
• Infrastructure and AI hardware: manage on-premise hardware and Linux/AWS environments; patching and monitoring.
• Scripting and automation: write Bash/Python to automate provisioning and support tasks.
• Research and emerging technology: stay current on AI tooling and test approaches before client use.
