Job summary

Hytech, Kuala Lumpur, is seeking an IT Support specialist to provide daily in-office IT/AV support, troubleshoot Windows and macOS, and manage network devices including VPNs. The role covers asset management, onboarding, and helping drive AI adoption in daily operations.

You will work with security on data backup and recovery, maintain equipment, and participate in IT infrastructure upgrade projects. Fluent Mandarin and English are required for collaboration with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT or CS required.
• Minimum 3 years IT experience in multinational offices.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, networking, and AD.
• Ability to leverage AI in daily work and promote AI adoption.
• Familiarity with ITSM: incident/request/change/asset mgmt.
• Clear documentation and instructions for IT services.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily IT support for offices, including deployment, configuration and procurement of IT/AV systems.
• Troubleshoot Windows and macOS issues and assist users with problems.
• Maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and VPN reliability.
• Configure CCTV, printers, door access and projectors for offices.
• Coordinate with security on data backup and recovery for integrity.
• Inspect and maintain IT equipment; support onboarding and IT training.
• Handle IT service tickets, follow up on feedback, resolve issues promptly.
• Manage IT assets and software usage across the organization.
• Oversee rollout of IT infrastructure upgrades and policy development.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• 1、Provide daily IT support for offices, including deployment, configuration, and procurement of IT and AV systems, hardware, software and infrastructure within the office.
• 2、Troubleshoot and manage issues related to Windows and macOS operating systems, and assist users with common system and application problems.
• 3、Maintain and manage company network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring stable network operations (including VPN).
• 4、Configure and support office equipment such as CCTV systems, printers, door access and projectors.
• 5、Work with the security team with office security，data backup and recovery to ensure data integrity and availability.
• 6、Perform routine inspection and maintenance of IT equipment.
• support onboarding and IT training for new employees.
• 7、Handle IT service tickets, follow up on user feedback, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• 8、Manage IT assets, tracking hardware and software usage across the organization.
• 9、Oversee & project manage rollout of IT infrastructure upgrades. Manage creation of IT and IS procedure and policy development, implementation and updates.
• 10、Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements:

• 1、Diploma or Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Information Technology or Computer Science required.
• 2、Minimum 3 years of IT experience in multinational offices environments.
• 3、Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, networking, and Active Directory.
• 4、Abilities to utilize AI in daily work and promote AI adoption further in the organization
• 5、Good skill of Operating Systems: Windows Server, Windows OS, macOS, iOS, Android and Office Tools: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, outlook, etc.)
• 6、Familiarity with IT service management practices (incident, request, change, asset management)
• 7、Maintaining clear documentation, guidelines, and instructions for IT services and support processes
• 8、Proficiency in Mandarin and fluent English to working with Chinese speaking stakeholders

Nice to Have

• 1、Hands-on experience with servers such as AD,DNS,DHCP and Microsoft 365 Admin Portal
• 2、Practical experience with L2–L3 switches and firewall configuration
